Samsāra

Is a surreal mix-media artwork inspired by the Buddhist idea of the world as a suffering-laden cycle of life, death, and rebirth, without beginning or end, where the human soul must liberate itself from passing from one body to another and exit Samsara. 

According to many ancient cultures, souls reincarnate on earth to learn lessons and evolve, and they even choose their parents and families much before their conception happens on earth.  It’s a highly mystical phenomenon and the purpose is an apprenticeship that includes future life experiences, life lessons, and the people we will share our lives with.

In this sense this art piece is a reminder that these spiritual traditions are not “belief systems” -  they are experiential, meant to maximize human potential and make you limitless!

Samsāra asks the viewer to question their feelings about inner peace, enjoyment of life, and furthering of worthwhile goals for the sake of breaking out of the eternal circle of rebirth and suffering.
